Happy hands.....

Hi again everyone,
I have another project to show you using some more gorgeous 2Crafty products.

I have a fun bright layout to share with you using all of my favourite pieces!

This layout is all about having "happy hands"...my dirty, arty hands!!!
This photo was taken just after completing a fun and inspiring workshop with Lisa Oxley.
I really wanted to depict her bright, artsy style in my own layout!

To create the background I used various colours of Faber Castell Gelatos, blending with water.
I have added stamping and stencilling and of course stitching.

I have used my all time favourite "chevron bits " and coloured them with Gelatos as well.
I love to frame my photos and these 6 inch revolution circle frames are PERFECT!! I love using these!!! Once again just coloured with Gelatos to match the colours in my background

Another must have item in my stash are these tiny ATC stars!! I find myself reaching for them all the time!

Brave boy and 7 dots...

Hi everyone
Just wanted to share with you my latest layout published in the 7 Dots studio blog.
This is a photo of my boy straight after having nose surgery earlier this year, He woke up like nothing had happened.

I have used lots of amazing products from the latest "Destination unknown range". The colours are amazing!

New do!!

Hi!
I have just popped in to share this layout! I LOVE these pics of Will's new do! Hair do I mean! LOL!
I think he likes it too as he wanted photos !

I created this layout for the latest challenge at the Paperdvizhink site! The colour combo this time was this....
I created this layout while at scrappy weekend last weekend which I organised in Port Fairy. I had the best time! We laughed . we ate, we talked and we did some "speed journalling". Yep you heard right, speed journalling! We had been exploring the little shops in town and we had bought a book to alter from the op shops. We then decided it would be fun to each adda piece of ourselves to each others journals. The catch was you only had 3 minutes each round and then you passed it on! Well to begin with we all freaked out but then it was so fun and so addictive we ended up journalling for 7 hours!!! LOL! I will share these pages really soon when I photograph them!

I also want to share this one with you. I created this layout based on the sketch challenge at scrap the girls.

Ok, so I have used a bit of creative license here. I have rotated and instead of a banner I have added a series of circles.

I taught Maya how to make daisy chains and now I often find her doing so in the garden or anywhere we go that has daisies in the lawn.

7 Dots "warm and cosy" challenge

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to pop by and tell you that the next challenge is up on the 7 Dots blog!

The theme this month is "Warm and Cosy", which is ironic actually as the layout I have created was a photo taken on the coldest day of my life!!
We were staying in Ballarat while Will had to compete in a soccer tournament! I don't know he did it! It was nearly snowing and it meant that it was just too cold for us all to stand and watch. So my husband and I took turns at watching and stsying back at our accomodation to keep Maya warm.
This photo was taken of Maya on one of these days at the Caravan park while waiting for Will. She (for a brief moment) put on her gumboots, beanie and gloves and splashed in the puddles! At least her feet stayed cosy and warm !!

So i hope you all have a go at this challenge!! The rules can be found on the blog! Have fun!

It's always funny when you find selfies on your phone !

And Maya is reknown for it lol!!! I always get the giggles when I discover new photos and videos on my phone and they are so fun to scrap! Especially when you have cool products to use from 2 Crafty!!

This time I have used one of the many different chipboard titles  you can purchase from 2 Crafty.
These titles make it so easy to add original, fun and interesting titles to your page which sometimes I find the hardest thing to do!!!
This one " "Here's a funny story" could be used in so many different ways . I have used it on these crazy selfie photos I ALWAYS find on my phone of my daughter.

I have used white cardstock as my background and used a "Dina Wakely" mask to add colour with @13 Arts mists .

I decided that the title looked better left in it's raw form this time.

These photos always make me smile when I discover them on my phone!
Shes such a funny. outgoing girl and I love how these sorts of photos show that side of her!

I have also used another arrow from the  assorted arrow pack and the tiny stars from the ATC tiny stars and hearts pack! To colour them I have used Faber Castell gelatos. I love these sorts of assorted packs as they go such a long way and are extremely versatile.

More cupcake kit inspiration....

Hi again everyone!
I have another bright layout this time to share!
This time it's a photo I took at one of my son's soccer tournaments of all the different coloured boots of his team mates!!!

The colours in this kit worked perfectly!!

The Basic Grey Sticker sheet was the main feature of this layout , as most of this page is made up of elements on it including the frame, labels and triangles which were also meant to be photo corners.

I have added some masking with some modeling paste and some mists to add more colour to the layout before adding the kit contents.
I have also used from the kit some of the papers which I have cut into circles, the alphas , the washi tape and the sequins. The other items you see are from my own stash!

Happy creating,

Haven't done this for a while!

Hi everyone,
I was looking for a challenge to create the other night and I went over to The Color Room and took a look at their latest colour pallette.

I have followed the colour palette however I used brighter versions ;/ ( LOL)

And yes! You see right....I have used a flower!!!! LOL!!!
It was a fun layout to create! To incorporate grey I used grey lead pencil and grey alphas.
I tried t draw with a tooth pick but it didnt work so I used the end of a toothpick to do some small dots amongst my paint splatters!!
So I did use them I promise!! LOL

Latest from A Piece of Cake designs

Hi everyone!
I have a layout to share with you today using the latest cupcake kit from a Piece of cake designs..

I know I always say it but once again I love this kit and I always like to think outside the box a little bit to showcase it's versatility!!

This layout is of my boy, a photo I have scrapped a few times before but I love it!!

I have used the chalkboard paint with a spatula on some white cardstock and then used the white Sharpie over it to add some white details.

I have cut small pieces of the various papers into squares and scattered them over the centre of my layout. They were just small pops of colour. To match these colours I used some mists from my stash to draw circles around my photo to add more pops of colour!

I have added in some stamping and used the black and white washi tape with my sewing as a feature on my background also.
The title is around my photo "Today be the best version of yourself", and I used the alphas in the kit with the white sharpie pen to highlight.

I have to admit I added the text paper to the top and bottom of my layout to hide a spilt blob of purple mist!! See , it's not the mistakes you makes it's how you cover them up!! LOL!
Have fun with your kit!

7 dots love...

Hi everyone,
I have just realised that my 7 dots creations havent showed up here on my blog as I thought I had scheduled! Oh well, I will happily share with you now!

This one is the most recent one on the blog. It is a photo of my wedding day.
It is a little different to my usual style a it has much darker, muted tones but still lots of 7 Dots goodies, and layering.

This stunning background paper is from the "Love is in the air" range called I must believe.

I have added many strips stickers from the "All I ever" and"Messy head" ranges plus clear stamps from the "Nature walk collection.

This one is a masculine page of Will learning his guitar,

These gorgeous papers from the "Dreamer Collection" matched my photo perfectly with its golden colours.

Once again a mixture of various collection stickers including "Domestic Goddess", "illumination" and "Dreamer" collections.

I have also used masks such as this Dina Wakely one and a Studio Calico chevron mask.
The chipboard is of course 2 Crafty's circular panel.

This layout was part of the last challenge over on the blog.

Here is my layout based on the theme "5 senses".

This month there is another awesome challenge....
The theme is NEW BEGINNINGS!!!
Link yours up to the blog for your chance to win!

This last layout actually is part of my tutorial. On the blog you will fin step by step instructions to create this layout, so head over there to find out all the details.

I will share my next 7 dots layout with you soon :)

Two more A Piece of Cake design kit layouts....

 Hi again everyone!
I have a fun layout to share with you today  using last months cupcake kit from a "Piece of cake designs''and it features a fellow designer and one of my besties Nat!
We earlier this year along with Raquel and some other awesomely talented friends rented a holiday unit in Mount Gambier SA. SO much fun and these were just some crazy selfies on my phone! .

Once again the masks were the main feature of my layout! I have used the scalloped edges with some texture paste to create some interest on my background cardstock.
I have also then used the ampersand mask with my black pen as a feature on my layout.

I have also used many of the patterned papers as strips and circles on this layout along with the stickers , alphas and sequins.

I have cut the title from one of the papers  too!!!

 I

While I was playing with the papers in the kit I came up with , unintentionally, a christmassy
combo of colours! So I thought why not show how versatile these kits are and show you a christmas themed layout!?
So here you have it....

My children for the first time ever, adopted an Elf on the shelf!
It was so adorable!!!
But I was yet to scrap any of the photos!
This kit allowed me to scrap this precious moment. The last day before our elf "Tinsel" as we named her , was to head back to the North pole til next Christmas. This meant the children who had been unable to touch her til now as the fear her magic would disappear, were able to give her a cuddle goodbye! So it was a sad day but also the best day at the same time!

I loved the mixed bag of embellishments by MME and this title was perfect!!

I have used a mix of papers that contained reds, green and even some yellow.
I used my sewing machine and some masks to create an interesting background on masking tape.
My background paper is by 7 Dots studio.

Now I have to add I have used a special veneer that was released last year!
It was a special Elf on the shelf set and I had been holding onto it do these kind of layouts!

Selfies...again!

Hi everyone!
I am back to share a layout I have created using the latest cupcake kit which is sold out!!
This kit has pretty colours and lot's of embellishments to create a variety of layouts. It also has a great mist and some mini stencils!! What more could you need?!
So I have created quite a few layouts now featuring selfies by my daughter Maya, but I just love them when I find them on my phone! They make me smile and I find them to be so fun to scrap!!!
So here is another one! Crazy girl!
They really depict her personality! She is fun loving, crazy and just funny!
I have used a Kaiser stamp to add to my title that says
"Don't let anyone ever dull your sparkle".
This stamp is perfect for Maya and goes perfectly with the gorgeous gold title in the kit!

I have used some white cardstock as my background where I have drawn some circles .
I have used the "Lindy's stamp gang mist" from the kit and some gelatos to paint the circles.
I have also used the scallop borders stencil in the kit and a black pen to draw in some doodling on my background.

As I have used the gold glittery title I wanted to add some more gold to my layout so I have used a Heidi Swapp Colour shine to draw around some of the circles and add some splashes of glimmer.

I also LOVED this "cherry flair" in the kit and it worked perfectly here.

Thanks for popping by, Eb xx

August 2 crafty post...

I have another layout to share with you featuring
some gorgeous products.

These layouts came about as I was teaching my
daughter how to use 'Heidi Swapp color shine"
sprays. I gave her a little journal and she was
using lot's of my masks and stencils with the sprays.
As she finished with each of the masks
I would rub the excess off the masks
onto a piece of white cardstock , like this one....

I have then added some stitching and washi tapes and
of course some 2 crafty chipboard pieces to complete
my layout.

This mask by Dina Wakely is my favourite at the moment
and the loopy font "you" was perfect to use as a
substitute on the mask!
It is coloured with a Faber Castell
gelato and then stamped
with a script stamp.

Another must have for me are the chevron pieces!!!!
They always make the perfect embellishment!!!

And I ALWAYS seem to find myself using circles!
These ones were perfect to add to this page!!

Camp mojo 2014

Hi everyone,
Sorry it has been a while betewen posts. I am back working 5 days a week again and life is crazy busy!
Recently I taught at a fantastic retreat in the Hunter Valley which I attend each year called "camp mojo".

This is the layout I taught.....

It's always a buzz to watch ladies being inspired by your ideas and embracing new things. Thank you to all the awesome sponsors that made my class possible.
I had the best time with some amazingly talented ladies. I didn't get a lot of scrapping done but lots of fun, photos, and laughter!!!

Here are some pics! ( Courtesy of Lisa Oxley and Jen hall!)

A few of us did a NON RUN COLOUR RUN!!! So much fun!!!

And lots of photo booth fun!!!

Its always so awesome to catch up with such like minded people that I don't get to see often and meet new friends!
So I managed a few challenges while I was there. ( not many :/)
My favourite is this one for "Scrap the girls" ....this mood board.

I think my layout covers all aspects!!! The colours, the title, the lines, the circle and even nature itself. What do you think?
We also had a few challenges at mojo! This one was to use a page from a comic book on your page.

And this one was to use red, blue and white.

Now this one was designed based on the sketch over at Sodalicious but I didn't get a chance to upload in time :(

I have a few more to share but will save for next time  xxx
