Sketches, Buttons and even a Birthday!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to show you some layouts I have created this week.
This first one is for my post this month on the "Lil Red Rocket" blog.
Anyone who knows me would know that I LOVE anything with red and white spots! So you can imagine how much I LOVE these buttons!!!

Add some red and white twine also from the store and there you have the perfect addition to your pages!!!

This one is inspired by the sketch at "Anna's Craft Cupboard". I have had these photo a little while along with the papers by "Echo Park" so I put the two together to create this from this sketch.

I love these photos of Will and Maya walking through a local wildlife park. They were chatting and looking around....so perfect! This sketch worked perfectly with these photos.

Next I was going through some older photos and realised I had not scrapped Will's 8th Birthday photos! And seeing he is turning 9 in a couple of weeks I thought I really should!!!!
I really enjoyed creating this one. Just a mix match of stamps, paints, paper scraps and stickers!

I just purchased this cool set of "Ali Edwards" stamps! LOVE them. I bought them from Nicole at Craft Queen and I have to say ( and no I have no affiliation with Nicole or the store!!!) that the service was so quick and fantastic. So here is the link if you like these stamps.

And just one more!!!!!!!! Another great store "Chandon Crafts" is also doing a monthly sketch competition so I thought I would have a go! Yes I used a bit of creative license here choosing only to use one photo instead of two! (And yes I have already scrapped this photo! But I created the background playing with some Dylusions sprays and the photo worked so well!!)
Here is the sketch...........
And my layout! LOVE these bright colours in these sprays! i just painted each colour on to my cardstock with a course brush!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

A Piece of Cake.........

Hi everyone! I am back to share some inspiration using this month's "Piece of Cake Design kits". I honestly have to say this is my favorite kit to date! I loved the colours, the embellisments, the papers, everything and I didn't really add anything extra to each layout! I did use my Cricut machine to cut some stars and other bits from some cardstock. I managed 4 layouts in a record time! I just found this kit amazingly easy to use. It is a great kit for boys layouts but I also managed a girls layout I loved too! So I will share two with you today!

This one obviously of Will! I LOVED the "Authentique paper" with the different strips on it!!!
To create the background I pulled out some old "Making Memories" scrapbooking dye which is in powder form. I sprinkled it on some grease proof paper and spritzed with water. I then just took my background paper and layed it on top of the dye and dragged it through it. This colour was called wheat.
I have even made the most of the scraps from the back of the "Jenni Bowlin" rubons! See the small punched out stars, well I used a small star punch with the backing paper! The colour worked perfectly!

This one is the only girl styled layout I created with the kit. I used lot's of the "Echo Park" tags and layered them.I did add a few little extra bits of washi tape here.

Have you got this kit yet? You should, It is awesome and so much fun! Thanks for popping by!

Grey anyone??

Did that get your attention??.... and I'm not talking about Mr Christian Grey either!! LOL!
I'm talking about this months challenge at challenge123.
This month the criteria is all about the men!
                                                COLOUR= GREY
                                   ELEMENT= METAL
                                    WORD= MAN/MEN

Here is my sample.............
I really enjoyed pulling out all my old metal embellies to play with. I have so MANY its ridiculous. When I owned my own shop metal was the in thing so I have SO much of it sitting here in containers, all too good and expensive to throw away!! I think I really need to reinvent it some how into my work. Seems like such  a waste when I look at it all!!!
Will has an obsession with war and army soldiers at the moment so I thought this was a perfect opportunity
to scrap about it! I have used a few grey items although they appear more black in this photo. I used grey mist and paint and grey washi tape. I guess my metal frame and mesh are also grey! LOL
So off you go.....scrap the men in your life or even about a book you might be reading ;).... Good luck!

The Olympics may be over but...........

.....at Jenni Bowlin , they recently had a "Summer Games " challenge! You needed to create layouts inspired by Olympic events! One challenge was based around the dimensions of a tennis court! How cool is that for a challenge!? So yep, I had a go!
I went through my stash of supplies and pulled out all my Jenni Bowlin goodies to create this! I was reall happy with the outcome!
 I then decided to create this layout obviously inspired by swimming!
Once again lots of Jenni Bowlin products! I used the kraft stencil paper as just that a stencil! I then used some smooch inks to colour in the letters!
So then I also created this layout but didn't really fit the whole olympic sport criteria! LOL!

I also wanted to share this "just because" layout! No particular challenge criteria, a layout just for fun!
Nice pose hey?
Thanks for popping by, Eb xx
